Took a trip to CVS today. I got a nice cashier who rang up multiple transactions for me, and I stepped out of line a lot to let other customers go. I bought 3 12-packs of Coke, thinking I’d get a $2 ECB, but it was a regional deal and I didn’t check my ad, and apparently my region wasn’t one of them. I was waiting around afterward for a raincheck and noticed that I was overcharged on my Act mouthwash. Although everywhere pays a $2 ECB, some regions they were on sale for $4.99 and others $3.79. I checked the shelf tag before getting them and it was $3.79. However, all three receipts showed $4.99! I checked the ad and it turns out that I am in a $4.99 area! I pointed out the shelf tags, and they refunded the overpayment to me. She had to ring 3 credits onto gift cards, then asked for my 3 CVS cards. In order to save time, I said she should ring them all up on one transaction, since I already got the ECBs for them. So she does, and I still ended up with another $2 ECB. She said to take it and run, lol. I just figure it’s the $2 that I should have gotten on my Coke!
