Pregnant!

I decided to go against the recommended daily focus for the first time, and selected “Weight Loss” since I’d never done it before. It was very much like the cardio workout – 45 minute cardio, 15 minute UB/LB combos (me with weights, Maya without, sigh), 6 minute core/flex combos, and 2 minute stretch. (Yep that’s 63 minutes!) I enjoyed it though, and liked the bigger cardio section since I’ve been too tired to do the treadmill in the evening.
And I figured out why. Turns out that I’m probably 3-5 weeks pregnant. It would explain the lumps-in-scary-places that made me run for a mammogram, the fatigue, and the cramps. I’m getting an official test tomorrow and seeing the doctor next Wednesday.
Apparently I’m still good with Maya while being pregnant. I just have to hang onto something with any balancing exercises, avoid laying flat on my back, avoid standing still while doing UB exercises (sitting is ok), and keep everything low-impact. With some minor adjustments I think it will work out quite well!
I’m very happy that I started eating healthy and taking care of myself a year ago. It will be hard enough trying to have my first baby at 37. Good eating and exercise habits will make up for that, I hope!
