More dental work

Posted by Pyrrh on April 21st, 2010

Went to the dentist this morning; he took impressions of two back teeth for gold crowns and replaced the temporaries. Only had about four vials of lidocaine this time. Thank goodness all I have left is a visit to install the crowns. Getting some final equillibration afterwards is no big deal and no needles, either. My teeth feel pretty stable now and my jaw is fantastic. He then tried to buff out a flaw in one of my front teeth and now it looks a lot worse. =( We’ve deduced that it is from the bleeding when he put them in; my gums were still bad from the temps in addition to being swollen from being pregnant. He is going to replace it at no charge but we need to wait until after the baby is born – like December or so! I’m hoping for mid-November; then maybe I can get it fixed right before Thanksgiving and Christmas pictures. I was pretty bummed out about it, but in the middle of the night I realized that not many people are going to see me before then. Even with the slight discoloration in the one tooth, they really do look fantastic.
