I’m doing Maya…

Posted by Pyrrh on July 4th, 2007

The PC went okay. Heart rate the same, but I can’t even make it to a minute doing normal jumping jacks… already maxed on squats, but crunches and pushups both went up a little!

Afterwards, we did a flex workout. Whew – lots of balancing stuff, getting better on those, but at least no pigeon – I can do so many stretches in weird ways with my knees and hips but I have never been able to do the splits. I was able to do the half moon pretty well the first time the set came up, but wasn’t able to raise my leg on the next sets. And my toes still hurt from that lunge fest the other day!

Tuesday is the day my Mom and I eat out, the last day of our tracking week, so we can spend a few extra of those bonus points. Pizza today! I was rather bummed after work today (and some medical tests) and I ate another piece when I got home – thankfully my husband ate the rest. Still within my points, but I’m paying for it by feeling bloated. At least I’ve discovered a new treat – an Asian Slaw recipe – that has practically no dressing on it and lots of those “negative calorie” foods – so I can pig out on that for the next few days.

Well, hopefully it is just the weight loss this year, and the major increase in high intensity activity the past couple of weeks (I know it can throw your hormones out of whack) but I found a mass in my breast last week. So today I had a really intensive mammogram done (the twist and squeeze really hurts – sorry to be so graphic lol) and they threw in an ultrasound just to be safe. I’m a little scared but it is probably nothing serious. Hopefully I’ll know something by the end of the week.

My husband calls me from work, so I pause the workout… I’m breathing hard and he wants to know what I’m doing?
“I’m doing Maya! Oh wait, sorry sweetie, she’s looking at her watch now, I’d better get back…”
